Embedfinder

Video embed code generator

Paste a video link and we give you iframe code ready to paste on your site, with the official player and a 16:9 ratio that adapts to the page width. It works with YouTube, Vimeo and Dailymotion, and also with pages that already have a player inside: we read the page's public data, find the player and hand it to you, ranked.

What you get

What it does not do

It does not copy or host the video: the code points to the original player and the video keeps playing from its own site. If the owner disables embedding or deletes the video, it stops showing on your page too. Raw video files and expiring links do not get an iframe.

What it is for

How to use it

  1. Copy the link of the video or of the page it is on.
  2. Paste it in the box above and press Extract.
  3. Tap “Copy iframe” on the player you want and paste it on your site.

How to paste it in WordPress

Block editor: add a “Custom HTML” block and paste the iframe. For YouTube or Vimeo you can also paste the plain link into an “Embed” block and WordPress builds the player for you.

Classic editor: switch to the “Text” tab (not “Visual”) and paste the code where the video goes.

If you save and the video disappears, your user is not allowed to publish unfiltered HTML: WordPress strips iframes from authors and contributors. Publish it with an administrator or editor account (on a multisite network, only the super admin can).

This is what the code looks like, with a sample video:

<iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/aqz-KE-bpKQ" title="Big Buck Bunny" style="width:100%;aspect-ratio:16/9;border:0" allow="autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen loading="lazy"></iframe>

Hundreds of videos for your WordPress?

With the Premium plan you connect your WordPress once and each entry arrives as a post, with title, cover image and player, without copying a single iframe. With the Basic plan you paste a whole listing and download every player as CSV.

Frequently asked questions

Does the code work on any site?
On any page that accepts HTML: WordPress, Blogger, hand-made sites and most website builders. Some social networks and forums do not allow iframes; use the plain video link there.
Why doesn't the video show on my page?
Most often: the owner disabled embedding on other sites, the video is private or was deleted, or your WordPress filtered the iframe on save (it happens with users who are not administrators or editors).
Can I change the size?
Yes. The code fills the width of wherever you paste it and keeps 16:9. For a fixed width, change width:100% to, for example, width:640px inside style.
Is it free?
Yes, no card: 2 links per day without an account and 5 per day with a free account. Each link counts once, even if the page has several players.
