Size and edge cases

Dailymotion names the thumbnail after its height: the one we give you ends in /x720, which means 720 pixels tall. The width depends on the video: about 1280 pixels for a landscape one, much less for a vertical one.

If the video is private or was deleted, Dailymotion does not answer and there is no thumbnail to show: the entry tells you so.

The image belongs to whoever uploaded the video. If you use it on your site, the decent thing is to link to the video or ask for permission.
